This Laughing Yoga Exercise Webinar Is To raise awareness of Brain and Mental Health.

Columbus, GA – Depression, anxiety, and stress are commonplace in our society, being further exacerbated by the COVID 19 pandemic, and possibly linked to an increase risk of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease. Columbus Memory Center has a plan; let’s laugh our way to better Brain and Mental health through Laughing Yoga exercises.

Columbus Memory Center, in coalition with Mayor Skip Henderson and the City Council, wishes to invite you to participate in Columbus Laughs Day, April 30, 2021. Columbus Laughs Day, founded by Dr. Jonathan L. Liss, and decreed by Mayor Henderson, is funded as part of the Columbus Memory Project™ and the Healthy Brain Initiative™. This is a community-wide project to improve the Brain and Mental Health of our citizenry.

Research shows that routine laughter therapy results in reduced stress, depression, and anxiety, boosting overall health, wellness and quality of life. Additional benefits of laughter include, but are not limited to:

Dr. Jonathan L. Liss, will host a FREE guided laughter therapy exercise program patterned after the most popular laughter therapy techniques on Columbus Laughs Day, April 30, 2021 starting at 11:00 A.M. In under 10 minutes, this alternative therapy has the potential to improve your mood and outlook. After laughter therapy, Dr. Liss will speak about the importance of Brain and Mental Health in our society.
