Community Outreach

Despite being one of the leading causes of death, many people find themselves unaware of what exactly Alzheimer’s Disease is and how it can be combatted. Columbus Memory Center is seeking to break the taboo around memory loss by educating the Georgia & Alabama community through a series of lectures and memory screenings. CMC has visited numerous faith communities and senior groups looking to spread the hopeful news surrounding memory loss. Please visit our contact page so that we can reach your group.

Hosted Events

Columbus Memory Center hosts discussion on new Alzheimer's treatments.

CMC has hosted multiple events, spanning from panel discussions to hosted dinner presentations targeted to healthcare professionals. Ask us to schedule an event for your group, and don’t forget to take a picture on our “selfie wall!”

Group Memory Screenings

A team member will come administer our Memory Number® screening to your group. This is a scientifically validated test, often utilized in memory centers and doctor’s offices, used as a general screening tool to assess memory and cognition

This written test evaluates how your memory is functioning and assigns a number, 0 to 22, and can be easily shared with family members or a physician.

You may take as long as you need, however, the assessment usually takes 15-20 minutes.

Church Visits

We would love to visit your church and offer an informative presentation on memory loss, as well as a shelf complete with Memory Screenings, “Living Well” caregiving booklets, and anything else you need to know about Columbus Memory Center’s opportunities. Whether you want us at a Sunday service or anytime during the week, we will work around your church’s schedule.
